Maja Starosta, zawodniczka z Wejherowa i aktualna Wicemistrzyni Polski, została powołana do szerokiej Kadry Narodowej kickboxingu. Podopieczna Tomasza Hirsza z Wejherowskiego Stowarzyszenia Sportowego znalazła się w kadrze aż w dwóch prestiżowych formułach walki na ringu – full contact i K1.
To kolejny milowy krok w sportowej karierze 19-letniej zawodniczki, która dopiero od roku rywalizuje w gronie seniorek. Mimo krótkiego stażu, Starosta już zdążyła mocno zaznaczyć swoją obecność na krajowej scenie – podczas Mistrzostw Polski 2025 wywalczyła aż trzy srebrne medale:
- w formule kick-light (Rusinowo),
- w full contact (Kołobrzeg),
- oraz w K1 (Tarnowo Podgórne).
W czerwcu Maja po raz pierwszy założy reprezentacyjną koszulkę z orłem na piersi. Wystąpi w Pucharze Świata w kickboxingu full contact, który odbędzie się w Budapeszcie. Weźmie udział w rywalizacji w kategorii wagowej do 70 kg.

Powołanie do reprezentacji to nie tylko wyróżnienie, ale także potwierdzenie sportowej klasy wejherowskiej zawodniczki. Starosta nie pierwszy raz udowadnia, że ma nie tylko talent, ale i ogromną determinację, by sięgać po najwyższe cele.
