Kolejny cenny zabytek w sercu Wejherowa został odnowiony. Zakończyła się kompleksowa renowacja elewacji Klasztoru Sióstr Zmartwychwstanek przy ulicy Klasztornej. Prace objęły nie tylko ściany budynku, ale także zabezpieczenie sztukaterii oraz figury Matki Bożej Swarzewskiej Królowej Polskiego Morza, która znajduje się na fasadzie klasztoru.
Zabytkowy obiekt, należący do Zgromadzenia Sióstr Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego, położony jest w pobliżu Kalwarii Wejherowskiej, uznawanej za duchową stolicę Kaszub. Dzięki swojemu położeniu i historii, klasztor stanowi ważny punkt na mapie lokalnych atrakcji turystycznych i kulturowych.
– W ramach prac wyremontowano elewację oraz zabezpieczono sztukaterię budynku i figury Matki Boskiej Swarzewskiej Królowej Polskiego Morza – poinformowała s. Marlena Wilmanska ze Zgromadzenia.

Z uznaniem o inwestycji wypowiedział się również Arkadiusz Kraszkiewicz, zastępca prezydenta Wejherowa:
– Chciałbym podziękować Siostrom za przeprowadzenie tej inwestycji, bo to dzięki Waszemu zaangażowaniu i staraniom o środki z budżetu państwa, wyremontowano ten budynek, który jest jedną z wizytówek naszego miasta. Zabezpieczenie sztukaterii i odnowienie figury znajdującej się na elewacji niewątpliwie przyczyniło się do wyeksponowania piękna architektury całego zabytkowego Klasztoru.
W odbiorze inwestycji uczestniczyła także s. Sylwia Kochanowska, Siostra Prowincjalna Zgromadzenia Sióstr Zmartwychwstania Pańskiego Prowincji Poznańskiej.
Wykonawcą prac była firma BUDKON Sp. z o.o. z Gdańska.
