Na strzeżonej plaży w Lubiatowie zaginął pięciolatek. Na szczęście dzięki szybkiej reakcji ratowników pilnujących bezpieczeństwa turystów, dziecko zostało szybko odnalezione i bezpiecznie przekazane rodzinie jeszcze przed przyjazdem policyjnego patrolu. Mundurowi apelują do rodziców i opiekunów o szczególną czujność i przypominają, że to zdarzenie pokazuje, jak łatwo w zatłoczonym miejscu może dojść do takich sytuacji.
Do zdarzenia doszło na głównej, strzeżonej plaży w Lubiatowie w gminie Choczewo, przy wejściu nr 44, w niedzielę, 20 lipca, około godziny 17:30. Służby otrzymały zgłoszenie o zaginięciu pięcioletniego dziecka. Sytuacja była bardzo poważna, bo każda minuta w takim przypadku ma ogromne znaczenie. Na miejscu natychmiast jako pierwsi zareagowali ratownicy wodni, którzy rozpoczęli poszukiwania. Na szczęście dziecko zostało szybko zlokalizowane jeszcze przed przyjazdem policyjnych patroli. Maluch cały i zdrowy wrócił pod opiekę rodziców.
– Zdarzenia takie jak to pokazują, że czujność i odpowiedzialność dorosłych to klucz do spokojnego i bezpiecznego wypoczynku nad wodą – mówi asp. sztab. Anetta Potrykus, oficer prasowy wejherowskiej policji. – Dzięki szybkiej reakcji ratowników i obecności służb, sytuacja zakończyła się szczęśliwie. To zdarzenie przypomina też, jak ważne jest nieustanne nadzorowanie dzieci podczas pobytu na plaży. W tłumie, między kolorowymi parawanami, parasolami i namiotami plażowymi, maluchy bardzo łatwo mogą się oddalić i zagubić. Chwila nieuwagi wystarczy, by stracić je z oczu. Dbajmy o najmłodszych, bo ich bezpieczeństwo zaczyna się od naszej uwagi.
W trosce o bezpieczeństwo najmłodszych, w miniony piątek policjantki z Komendy Powiatowej Policji w Wejherowie wraz z dzielnicowymi gminy Choczewo prowadzili na plaży akcję profilaktyczną. Mundurowi rozdawali dzieciom specjalne opaski „niezgubki”, na których rodzice mogą zapisać swój numer telefonu. Dzięki takiej opasce, w przypadku zagubienia, osoba, która zauważy zagubione dziecko, może szybko skontaktować się z jego opiekunami, co znacząco przyspiesza odnalezienie malucha. Podczas rozmów z plażowiczami funkcjonariusze przypominali również o konieczności stałego nadzoru nad dziećmi kąpiącymi się w wodzie. Nawet jeśli plaża jest strzeżona, odpowiedzialność za bezpieczeństwo dziecka zawsze w pierwszej kolejności spoczywa na rodzicu.
